Dr. Wael A. Halim , MD., PhD.

Dr. Wael is a consultant and professor of neurosurgery at the University of Ain   Shams. He works in the Gamma Knife Center since its beginning in 2001. He was  trained by Professor Jeremy Ganz, a pioneer in the field of radiosurgery using the Gamma Knife. It was his thesis for a doctoral degree is Surgical management of trigeminal neuralgia.  He is an active member of International Leksell Gamma Knife Society & the International Stereotactic Radiosurgery Society. He has published in many prestigious scientific journals like  the Journal of Neurosurgery

Dr. Khaled A. Karim, MD., PhD.

Oncology and Radiosurgery consultant of the Center. 

Professor of Clinical Oncology – Ain Shams University

He works as consultant oncologist since our center started and was trained by Professor Jeremy Ganz. His doctoral degree was about treating malignant brain tumors with brachytherapy. He is a member of the International Leksell Gamma Knife Society, the International Stereotactic Radiosurgery Society, in addition to the American society of clinical oncology ASCO, and the European socity of medical oncology ESMO. He is a co-auther of most of our publications . 

Dr. Amr El-Shehaby, MD,PhD. Neurosurgery Consultant

Dr. Amr is a consultant neurosurgeon who has worked at the center since its very beginning in 2001. He was trained by Professor Jeremy Ganz, a pioneer in the field of gamma knife radiosurgery. His doctoral thesis was the first on the subspecialty of radiosurgery in Egypt. He has published in the Journal of Neurosurgery on the topic.

He is an assistant professor of Neurosurgery at Ain Shams University.He is an active member of International Leksell Gamma Knife Society & the International Stereotactic Radiosurgery Society

Dr. Hisham El Azazzy, MD., PhD.

Anaesthesia Consultant

Dr. Hesham is currently an associate professor of Anesthesia, Critical Care and pain management at the faculty of medicine in Ain Shams University. He received his MD in November 2001 and since then has worked at several prestigious hospitals both in Egypt and Saudi Arabia. He has also gone on to supervise many postgraduate degree theses and discussions, in addition to publishing several books and many scientific papers in the field of Anesthesia and Critical Care. He currently resides in Cairo with his family

Lecturer of Radiation Oncology at National Cancer Institute, Cairo University.

Trained on Radio surgery at NCI since 2004.Doctorate thesis was about radiosurgery to benign perioptic tumors, which recieved the best thesis award at both NCI and Cairo University.

Joined the Gamma Knife team at 2012.Participating in several research projects at Gamma Knife Center.
